Dear Fellow Federal Employees:

*

The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) of Greater Wisconsin includes over eighteen thousand Federal employees that work in 46 Wisconsin counties.  These employees work for the Postal Service, the military or a wide variety of civilian agencies.  These Federal employees contribute to our great nation through hard work and devoted public service.  Through the CFC, each of us has an opportunity to give back to our communities and to make a difference in the lives of so many that are less fortunate than ourselves.

In 2008, the CFC of Greater Wisconsin raised over $941,000 and these efforts directly assisted the various local, national and international charitable organizations and agencies in our campaign.  We apprecate the generosity of our Federal workers; even in tough economic times you always come through.

The CFC of Greater Wisconsin works diligently to keep our administrative costs low; in fact in 2008 our administrative costs were below seven percent. That means the donations and pledges went a long way in supporting the charities in our campaign.  In fact, this is a great deal for the charities in our campaign; they do not have to spend money to raise money.

Some other points to consider:

The Combined Federal Campaign belongs to you--the Federal employee.  The CFC does not belong to the Federal Government, the Principal Combined Fund Organization, or to the charitable organizations that benefit from it.

  • Far more people benefit from your donations and pledges than you might otherwise think.  It has been shown that one in four people receive benefits, either directly or indirectly from the local, national and international CFC Agencies.
  • Workplace giving has advantages.  Through payroll deduction you can give more and have a small amount deducted each pay period.  The majority of donations we receive are through payroll deduction.
  • The charities you support through the CFC focus on people who really need help--including the hungry, the homeless, the sick and children and families in need.
  • You can direct your support to charities that work on the issues you care most deeply about.
  • Even small donations help in big ways.
  • If every Federal employee in our campaign pledged $2.50 per pay period we would raise over $1,000,000.

Our slogan for the 2009 campaign is "Your Hands Can Shape The World".  Please help us as we reach out with our hands to have a positive impact in the community.  We hope that you will consider pledging or donating for the first time, or if you are a returning donor consider increasing your donation.

On behalf of the many charities included in the 2009 Combined Federal Campaign, thank you for your support.

*

Sincerely ,

Robert Beller, FACHE

I would like to personally thank you for supporting the Combined Federal Campaign. If you have watched my video "Soul & Heart" and were moved to action, you have understood the urgency and call to assist our fellow Americans who find themselves in crisis due to circumstances beyond their control.

With thousands of charities available that serve families in need, there is surely a cause that speaks to your soul.

Everyone has the power to make positive change in the world, but when individuals move at once, lasting positive change is inevitable.

Encourage those around you to be the change they want to see in the world. It all starts with one person of influence.

  You.
-Sose
